The 90’s was an exciting decade in the South African the history when the country’s new democracy opened up many opportunities, especially in the touring industry. People from all over the world wanted to see our beautiful country.

At the start of the decade, Protours started with two luxury coaches, operating in the lowveld of Mpumalnga and steadily grew to its current size of 74 luxury coaches, operating throughout South Africa and the neighbouring countries. For the maximum coverage of all the main tourist attractions, two operating centers have been established in Gauteng and Cape Town. Fellow subsidiaries are also located in Namibia, Isle of Man and England.

Protours’ success is based on the attributes of safety, comfort, reliability and affordability, and the composition of the fleet has been adjusted into three main categories (Small, Medium & Large coaches).Specifications have been adapted to satisfy the needs of clients and passengers to make their visit to South Africa a “wow” experience and for them to have pleasant memories, to be cherished forever.

Protours is a major role player in the tourism industry, being one of the largest coach charter companies in the country, and is moving ahead with 2010 in sight. That is the year when the world’s focus will be on South Africa, and Protours will be there, more than ready to adequately contribute to the mobility of the soccer world cup fans, during their stay in our beautiful country.
